Effortless Oracle - Keeper of Mysteries
The Book of Frozen Memories
My thoughts
Dare I to introduce this account with the Homeric words Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero[ine] who travelled far and wide in the attempt to find the perfect opening? Perhaps.

Or not, depending on the aetherial winds that do blow in with the light of day. Cruel Apollo, how did you become the patron of the arts? Your bright rays shine harshly, brightly on all, driving the delicate and fleeting thoughts of night into the shadows. Better Artemis to be the gentle patroness of these letters.

Which is what this account shall be. Letters written and set adrift on the arcane electric seas of the computer realm. Dear...

But to whom shall they be written? Myself, lovers, potential lovers, or just to the muses? For those curious eyes that wander the electric seas and find themselves touching briefly upon these shores? For all of the above. Yes for all of those I would whisper to on the wind, in the sound of the sea, in the moonlight, from the sun dancing on wave top...
 Talk to me.
5th-Feb-2010 08:55 pm - Snow!
midnight sun
It is coming down. Supposedly, we'll be getting anywhere from 2-3 feet. I'm not going to hold my breath, but there is weather as the net's been at a snail's pace all day. I can... eventually... log in to places, and am sending this via Semagic as I can queue it if need be.

Fun times.

In other news, my SIL broke her ankle as a result of ice. Ice = bad. Snow = good. Thank you.

In other other news, my beasties are trying to get me to play WoW. I told them that I will consider it once I take over this world and the nine levels of the Inferno first.

We are all popsicles.

Had a great day in the snow. Now, it is time for warmth.

I also took the Elder Beast out for a driving lesson. Taught him about slush and mush, turning into slides, how to go slowly and never come to a complete stop unless 100% unavoidable, and the joys of driving in lower gears. He did pretty good in the car park of the grocery store, so I let him have a go on the cleaned main streets, although I did take over back on the slushy secondary street. It'd be unneighbourly to slide into them whilst parking our car, you see.

I did forget, though, how absolutely exhausted a day in the cold and snow can make a person. Might have a small nap in the bath tub and then come back semi-awake and alert.

Today has been, other than the productively fun talk about WriYe, a bit on the chaotic side. The school nurse rang up again today. Middle beastie has pink-eye... again! Had to go collect his contagious self, trek up to see the nurse practitioner for eye drops, and then came home only to be reminded that the beastiette was at practice for Guys and Dolls [she is a doll and a hot box girl... not too bad for her 1st audition] and to collect her at 4:15. This will be daily until the play closes *see me grinning* Then! had to get milk so she could make a Russian Napoleon cake for school tomorrow, and take the Elder Beast to his driving lessons.

A bit of schedule adjustment is needed *wink*

Tomorrow won't be so bad, as supper's already made... pork stew because none of us can bear to look at turkey or other fowl after the holiday... and there will be no complex cakes to be made. And the Elder Beast is mostly grown-up that he can forage for himself in the kitchen for supper when we get home.

Now, I'm going to tank up on preventative meds and suppliments to stave off this suspicious tickle in the back of my throat, and plan to sleep in until 10 am tomorrow morning. Well, after I get the younger beasties off to school.

Triss is coming home today!

He'll be arriving at Washington Regan at 8:09 pm, and we should *knock wood* be home by 11 pm.

Of course, it's pissing with rain and a horrible day weather wise, but... I'll drive carefully.

glyph - lilith
I'll need to get the photos I have of her off the mobile and posted up here at some point. She went this morning in her sleep, without suffering, and will be deeply and greatly missed.
